I set this on the Easter table and nobody wanted to eat it at first, it looked too nice with that gold leaf brushed over the ears. The milk chocolate is smooth and not overly sweet, and the gold actually tastes like nothing, just a thin crunch. Worth it for the centerpiece alone.
Ordered the milk chocolate version for our Easter table and it was almost too pretty to break into. The hand-painted gold on those big ears catches the light, and the chocolate underneath is rich without being sickly sweet. My kids fought over who got to eat the ear tips.
I almost felt bad biting into something hand painted in edible gold, but the milk chocolate inside was smooth and rich, not waxy at all. The big ears survived shipping without a single chip.
