I wasn't expecting the pecans to stay this crunchy under the chocolate, but they do. The shortbread basically dissolves the second it hits your tongue, and the chocolate layer is thick enough that it doesn't just flake off. Gone through half the box already.
The chocolate shell snaps when you bite in, then it's all soft pecan shortbread underneath. I meant to save the tin for guests and ended up finishing most of it myself with afternoon coffee.
The buttery shortbread really does melt in your mouth, and the pecans add a nice crunch without being overwhelming. I hid the box from my family because they disappeared way too fast.
