The orange peels are candied just enough that they stay chewy instead of turning into mush, and the tartness cuts right through the dark chocolate. Brought the black gift box to a dinner party and it disappeared before dessert even came out.
The dark chocolate is actually vegan, which I wasn't expecting, and it snaps nicely against the chewy peel. The orange flavor is genuinely tart instead of candy-sweet, so I ate four before I even realized it. The black box looks nice enough that I'm already planning to order more as hostess gifts.
I bought these as a gift and almost kept the box for myself. The dark chocolate is genuinely vegan but you'd never guess it, and the orange peel still has that tart bite under the sweetness. The black box looks way pricier than what I paid.
