Onze Engelse toffee, sinds 1950 een traditie om cadeau te geven. Zelfgemaakt van bruine suiker en boter, met de hand gedoopt in premium chocolade en gerold in geroosterde amandelschaafsel. De perfecte balans tussen knapperigheid, zoetheid en zout, die sneller wordt opgegeten dan welke andere doos we ook maken.
The chocolate coating has a really clean snap when you bite in, and the toffee underneath is buttery without being too sweet. Sent a box to my parents for their anniversary and they finished it in two days.
The almonds on the outside are actually roasted, not just dusted on, and you can taste it. My dad used to get tins like this at Christmas and this box disappeared in two days at the office.
The toffee has that perfect snap when you bite into it, and the chocolate-to-almond ratio is spot on. My mom hid the box from the rest of the family, which I'm choosing to take as a compliment.
