Broke off a square and was genuinely surprised by how the shortcake chunks stay crunchy instead of getting soggy in the chocolate. The strawberry bits taste real and tart against the creamy base, and the whole thing disappears way too fast for a bar that costs what it does.
I was skeptical about the texture combo but the airy shortcake chunks actually stay crisp against the creamy chocolate, and the real strawberry pieces give it a nice tart pop. It's dangerously easy to eat the whole bar in one sitting.
The strawberry flavor comes through bright and real, not artificial at all, and the crumbly shortcake bits give it a nice homemade texture against the creamy chocolate. I also love that the wrapper's hand-drawn strawberry print makes it feel like a little gift to myself.
